I’m a writer and sometime seabird biologist in Seattle, where I live with my family. I have a PhD in biology for work I did on Magellanic penguins in Argentina, which you can read about in much greater detail here (or, if you’re a real glutton for punishment, here). These days I write mostly about animals and the environment, which is to say I spend a lot of time worrying about how humans are or are not willing to share the planet with its nonhuman denizens.
Here is my website, where you can find out more about my books and articles and such, and my very occasional tweets are here.
